Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. INTRODUCTION

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of services, systems, infrastructure, and network resources provided by ENRYOC (Pty) Ltd (“ENRYOC”).

This AUP forms part of ENRYOC’s broader service framework and applies to all users, clients, and any person accessing or using ENRYOC services.

2. SCOPE

This AUP applies to:

* cloud hosting environments (including RDS environments);
* virtual machines and server infrastructure;
* backup systems;
* network infrastructure;
* email systems and communication services;
* any systems or services provided or managed by ENRYOC.

3. GENERAL OBLIGATIONS

Users must:

* comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
* use services in a responsible, lawful, and ethical manner;
* ensure that their use of services does not negatively affect ENRYOC systems or other users.

4. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Users may not use ENRYOC services to:

* host, store, transmit, or distribute unlawful, harmful, or prohibited content;
* conduct fraud, phishing, impersonation, or identity theft;
* send spam, bulk unsolicited communications, or abusive messaging;
* distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious code;
* attempt unauthorised access to systems, networks, or accounts;
* perform vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or exploitation without written approval;
* interfere with or disrupt systems, services, or networks;
* engage in activities that may damage ENRYOC’s reputation or infrastructure.

5. SYSTEM AND NETWORK ABUSE

Users may not:

* overload shared infrastructure or consume excessive resources;
* conduct denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attacks;
* bypass security controls or restrictions;
* attempt to circumvent authentication mechanisms;
* exploit system vulnerabilities.

6. RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCOUNTS AND DATA

Users are responsible for:

* all activity performed under their accounts;
* maintaining the confidentiality of credentials;
* ensuring appropriate access control within their organisation;
* ensuring that users and employees comply with this AUP;
* ensuring that all hosted data complies with applicable laws.

ENRYOC is not responsible for user-managed data or internal user behaviour.

7. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

Users must:

* implement and maintain appropriate endpoint security;
* ensure that all devices accessing ENRYOC services are reasonably secured;
* comply with required security measures, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) where applicable;
* maintain updated systems, software, and security controls;
* follow reasonable security guidance provided by ENRYOC.

Failure to comply with security requirements may result in restricted access or suspension of services.

8. EMAIL AND COMMUNICATION USE

Users may not use ENRYOC systems to:

* send spam or unsolicited bulk communications;
* distribute harmful or misleading content;
* engage in harassment or abusive communication.

Users are responsible for compliance with applicable communication laws and regulations.

9. CONTENT RESPONSIBILITY

Users are solely responsible for:

* all data, content, and materials stored or transmitted using ENRYOC services;
* ensuring that such content does not infringe third-party rights;
* ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws.

ENRYOC does not monitor all content but reserves the right to act where violations are identified.

10. ENFORCEMENT

ENRYOC reserves the right to take appropriate action where this AUP is violated, including:

* suspension or restriction of services;
* removal of content;
* blocking access;
* investigation of incidents;
* reporting unlawful activity to authorities.

Such actions may be taken without prior notice where reasonably necessary.

11. NO LIABILITY FOR ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS

ENRYOC shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from actions taken in good faith to enforce this AUP or to protect systems, users, or third parties.

12. COOPERATION AND INVESTIGATIONS

Users must:

* cooperate with reasonable investigations;
* provide relevant information where required;
* assist in resolving security or abuse incidents.

Failure to cooperate may result in service suspension.

13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Where ENRYOC services rely on third-party providers (including cloud infrastructure and software vendors), users must also comply with applicable third-party acceptable use requirements.

14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

ENRYOC may update this AUP from time to time.

Updated versions will be published on the Website and will take effect upon publication.

Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
