1. INTRODUCTION

This manual is prepared in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”) and sets out how to request access to records held by ENRYOC (Pty) Ltd.

This manual is available on the ENRYOC website.

3. INFORMATION OFFICER

6. RECORDS AVAILABLE WITHOUT REQUEST

Certain records may be made available on the ENRYOC website or upon request without formal PAIA procedures, subject to reasonable conditions.

7. REQUEST PROCEDURE

Requests for access to records must be submitted in writing to the Information Officer.

A request must include:

* full name and contact details of the requester;
* sufficient detail of the record requested;
* the form of access required;
* the reason for the request (where applicable);
* proof of identity.

ENRYOC may require completion of the prescribed PAIA request form.

8. FEES

Fees may be payable in accordance with PAIA regulations.

These may include:

* request fees;
* access fees;
* reproduction fees.

The requester will be informed of any applicable fees before processing continues.

9. GROUNDS FOR REFUSAL OF ACCESS

Access to records may be refused where permitted by PAIA, including:

* protection of personal privacy;
* protection of commercial information;
* protection of confidential information;
* legal privilege;
* security and safety considerations.

10. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information is processed in accordance with POPIA.

Details of such processing are set out in ENRYOC’s Privacy Policy available on the website.

11. REMEDIES AVAILABLE

If a request is denied, the requester may:

* request reasons for refusal;
* lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator;
* approach a court of competent jurisdiction.
